Coat Your Weights to Protect Your Decoys

We all know what a lead weight can do to a decoy while its riding around in a bag. After a full season a decoy can have countless scratches. There is an easy and affordable fix for this problem. A product called Plasti-Dip is available at any Lowe’s or Home Depot. Plasti-Dip is a rubber like coating that is very durable and can be applied to anything that can be painted. One can of Plasti-Dip cost about $7 and is enough to coat around 5 dozen decoy weights. If your decoys are hand painted this can really add to the longevity of there paint job.
